Lyon
Friday night we flew to Lausanne to visit P&S. Early Saturday morning we drove to Lyon and indulged in beautiful French cuisine at Le Petit Flore where I had a tomato salad followed by a onion-egg soup. To conclude the meal, M&I had Chocolate Fondant. The weather was gorgeous so we stayed outdoors and visited the Parc de la Tete D’Or… lucky for us the park has its own zoo! There we exercised what little naturalist knowledge we have among the four of us and visited the giraffes, elephants, lions, tigers and monkeys, among other animals of the wild. We concluded the day with a trip to a Farmer’s Market where we picked up dinner (bread, unpasteurized cheese, buffalo mozarella salad, ratatouille, aubergine & sun-dried tomatoe and, since we were in France, macaroon).
