Toledo
While in Madrid, we took a day trip to Toledo, what was once the imperial capital of Spain.
Madrid
Last weekend we visited Madrid & Toledo. In Madrid we stayed next to the three major art museums: the Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofia. At the Prado we viewed many of the works I learned about in high school Spanish class (El Greco, Goya, Picasso). At the Reina Sofia we were two of many who queued in the early morning for the opportunity to see Picasso’s “Guernica”.
As usual, the tapas were amazing as always is the case in Spain. But in response to the Madrid versus Barcelona debate, we are definitely biased for Barcelona.
