Dendera Temple

Like every other temple in Egypt we had visited, I was struck by the enormity of Dendera Temple. I struggled a little with getting my head around all of the symbolism in the inscribed drawings on the walls. Every wall and column, tomb and surface, tells multiple stories, all heavily nuanced. Some of the pictures depict war, hunting, and family life, but most images are of the after life, when pharaohs finally meet their gods and goddesses.
